Description
Dansco Coin Albums have been a longtime companion for both expert numismatists and beginning coin collectors. The Franklin Half Dollars 1948-1963 Dansco Album comes in a 5/8″ binder and holds up to 40 coins. The album has 2 Dansco pages (series: 7165-1 to 7165-2), each and every one holding and displaying all Franklin half dollars minted from 1948-1963. Designer John R. Sinnock created Franklin’s likeness for the obverse and the Liberty Bell for the reverse. As a result of a legal requirement to show an eagle on all half dollar coins, a small eagle was once engraved next to the Liberty Bell. Franklin half dollars are made of 90% silver and 10% copper. They measure 30.6 mm in diameter, each and every weighing 12.50 grams. Franklin half dollars were coined at the Philadelphia, Denver and San Francisco Mints. Dansco Coin Albums have their pages attached with metal screws, making it easy so as to add and replace.
